Police are in the middle of investigating two separate incidents today in which two girls were approached by unknown men in cars. The girls were able to flee and were unharmed in both incidents. A 13 year old girl was walking to the bus stop near Castle Hill Elementary School around 6:30 A.M. when a man approached her in a white truck with blue letters on it. The man made eye contact with the girl, and was able to run when her friend showed up. The girl also reported that the same truck approached her two days ago around the same time. During that time, the man told her to get into the truck.
An incident also occured today with an 11 year old girl trying to catch her bus to school. She was approached by a man driving an older model silver or gray vehicle. The driver circled around the girl, then began getting out of his car. The girl was able to run away. Parents are now urged to make sure their children do not travel alone, but rather in groups and to not talk to strangers.
